Energy

From Virginia’s first large scale wind farm, a hospital that gets energy from a landfill, to sustainable, off the grid housing, the Shenandoah Valley is a leader in alternate energy development and deployment.

Institute for Energy and Environmental Research

The Institute for Energy and Environmental Research at James Madison University builds on JMU's recognized leadership in the Commonwealth of Virginia for developing and implementing innovative alternative energy solutions and applied environmental research programs.
